Get your website listed
The Website Directory inside Polaris TabOS is a curated list people browse from their new tab. Anyone can submit a site, it costs nothing, and a person reads every submission.
How it works
-
1
Create an account
Your name, email, a password, a phone number and your country. The country matters: it is part of how you decide where your listing appears.
-
2
Confirm your email
We send a link. Opening it brings you back to your panel.
-
3
Describe your website
The address, a category, and a title and description in English — English is the version every other language falls back to, so it is required. Add the same in any of the other seven languages if you can. Up to ten tags, and an icon and cover image if you have them.
-
4
Choose where it shows
Everywhere, only in countries you pick, or everywhere except countries you pick. Useful if what you offer is regional.
-
5
We review it
A person looks at every submission. Approved listings appear in the directory for everyone. If yours is turned down you get a written reason, and editing it sends it back for another look automatically.
Optional: promote your listing
Approved listings can take a sponsored placement, which lifts them in the directory and labels them as sponsored — always, so nobody is misled about what they are looking at.
- Start with a free 30-day trial
- Paid placements run for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months
- Paid in cryptocurrency, on the payment provider's own checkout page
- Up to three placements running at once per account
Current prices are shown on the plans page once you sign in.
Questions people ask
- Does it cost anything to be listed?
- No. Submitting a site and having it listed is free. A sponsored placement is optional and separate.
- How long does review take?
- A person checks submissions in batches, so it depends on the queue rather than a fixed clock. You will see the status in your panel and get a reason if it is turned down.
- Which languages can I write in?
- All eight. English is required because every other language falls back to it when a translation is missing; the rest are optional and you can add them later.
- Can I edit a listing after it is approved?
- Yes. Edits go back through review, which is also how a rejected listing is resubmitted — fix what the reason mentioned and save.
